I need of a G2/J38 motor
Looking for a used G2/J38 or comparable motor. Located in Michigan would be a plus!

Depends on what's wrong with it. Wouldn't want to bore it out or anything like that.

I have one. Just pulled it. Runs but smokes. Unfortunately I'm in Louisiana.

Re: I need of a G2/J38 motor
ok, mine's out lol. I ran a hone through the cylinder to clean it up and see what kind of shape it was really in (it came in a tote with a cart I bought, so I never saw it run) but there's a little scoring that won't come out with a hone so it'll probably need to be bored.

Do you need the complete motor? Stripped down to the long block shipping would be roughly $50 -$60.

Re: I need of a G2/J38 motor
Camshaft was JB welded together, and a hole in the case was siliconed "shut". The cam let loose and things got nasty. So basically need from the head down. That's if the valve guides and seals aren't toast.

I'll have to find out if the customer is willing to pay more for shipping. I do appreciate the help.
