Reverse lights and cab lights
Installed some Wal-Mart “rock” lights today as reverse lights on my cart. I wired them up to the reverse buzzer so they come on when I throw the gearshift into reverse. They are bright and act both as fair warning and light up the night so I don’t back into or over anything or anyone.
I also installed a couple of the same lights on the roof shining down into the cab. Those have a dash switch so if we stop and need to look at something or find something in the dash storage areas we can see well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

Re: Reverse lights and cab lights
Looks nice and bright. Be prepared to replace the reverse switch more often. The switch isn't very heavy duty.

Re: Reverse lights and cab lights
Those backup lights should get everyone's attention. You might use a relay rather than wire them directly through the backup switch. But you probably thought of that already.

Thanks [emoji1474]
So in terms of the switch not being heavy duty, you guys don’t think it will hold up to the buzzer and two led lights? I wired them into the buzzer wires under the front cowling. I guess worst case scenario I’ll replace the micro switch with a heavier duty one once it dies. I never did think to wire in a relay. You guys are smarter than the average bear. Re: Reverse lights and cab lights
I'd just wire in a relay. Should only take you a few minutes and you'll never have to worry about the switch. Switch will be more expensive than a 50 cent relay
look really good though. If I drove at night more I'd probably do something like that, but night time driving is rare for me. |
