Kf82 coil

Where can I get an oem coil or a decent coil for the kf82.
Amazon, Red hawk all junk on almost all coils they sell. Thanks

I don't believe there's a stock-quality, brand-new coil unit out there for the flatheads anymore. If you want a factory coil your best bet is to lurk the Big Block forums here and look for members with 1984-1991 (1984-1989 if you don't want the rev limiter) gas Club Car golf carts who are swapping out their stock motors and will sell parts from them. Also if you're on Facebook there are a couple of Club Car groups that guys will post in frequently when they're selling parts. Or thirdly your local craigslist or Facebook marketplace for people selling parts carts.

Springbok, the coil eBay sells for 84-89 flatheads, this a bolt in coil with no rev limiter on it? Interested in this, as I am rebuilding my 90 cart. I have access to the motor now with body off, and this would be an easy mod to do now. Thanks Dave

Also I didn’t see a oil filter on my 90 flathead. Did they have one?

Correct. 1984-1989 coils have no rev limiter in them and you can swap it right into your '90. And yes, there's no oil filter in these motors, they are internally oiled using a splash system. There's a little tab on the big end of the connecting rod that dips down into the oil sump as the engine runs and splashes it throughout the crankcase.
