Different cable jackets vary in actual diameter. I don't see why you could not use lube but do not use any method to enlarge the hole.....
Piggy back is running 2 cables the old one going thru the obc as it always has, and the new bigger cable going around the obc. 2 cables bolted down at the same place.... one for the obc to read and one to carry improved amperage capacity .... but some say this can confuse the obc but many many many carts are running this way... |

Its really hard to say what size wire since many 4ga. wires are different size , due to thread count and insulation thickness (But most 4ga. work).
U have to remove the connector on 1 end , thread , add connector back. U get the same desired results by leaving the 6ga in place (threaded through OBC) and running your new wire around (bypassing the OBC). The only different is in appearance. |
