Re: significant loss in power
Heat is normal as this is how they change speeds by more or less resistance.
Like Scottyb says it could be one or more batterys reversed, causing charging problem? |

Re: significant loss in power
All batteries are installed correctly. What I did find was extensive corrosion in the V-Glide connections. Cleaned that up, replaced a few older cables and it seems to be doing fine (for now). This cart was originally used at a beach resort so corrosion has been a constant challenge. Thanks for all the help everyone.

Re: significant loss in power
Corrosion in the V-glide could lead to poor performance but not to half the pack being more depleted than the rest.... I have a theory that your positive power input to thew F&R is not correctly connected leaving the cart to run off of only 3 of the 6 batteries.... So > maybe not that three are not charging but that only 3 are discharging?

Re: significant loss in power
as stated earlier, replacing some old wiring to the F&R and cleaning up the corrosion in the V-glide did the trick. It is running normal again and charging fine. Again, thanks for all the help everyone.
