Question All in one display

Hey there guys, this is my first post on this site. I have been around a little while though. My cart is an 81 36V DS, fire engine red. It runs well and it rips around the golf course like no other. I am looking into making a small LCD display for it and was wondering what you guys think would be good to measure. I am thinking for starters, voltage, a speedometer. Some kind of functionality to measure distance (so you could tell how far your drive was). Temperature sensors to measure motor temps or outdoor temps. I was also thinking ammeter, but then a shunt would be required and I dont know if i want to take it that far. If you guys have any suggestions as to how I could make my small design a little better, let me know.

Thanks in advance, junior flyer.

Most cart owners install some type of digital pack volt meter. Then some use a bicycle speedo with pick up mounted on one front wheel, so look up on forum for installation info.
I wouldnt think unless you have a race or drag cart for the need of motor temp sensor but is some thing to consider? You are correct about amp meter is really again not needed unless cart is race quality.
Can I give you an idea? Wouldnt it be money well spent to convert your cart to efficiant 48 volt solid state controling? You already have the 36 volt motor that acts like a HP race cart on 48 volts and lasts every bit as long if not longer? 2 extra batterys and eliminating resistors and solenoids will power you up even more an extend range by at least 25%.
BY THE WAY WELCOME TO THE BEST FORUM.
