Re: 99 elec club car not wanting to go - slow to nothing
Yep. I remember a small rear-most post with yellow wire between the two main solenoid terminals. Can't use the jumper on that one. I'll have to bring some wire and try it again. Thanks.

Alligator clips should work, just make sure they have some decent sized wire on them. At least 16 gauge, preferably 14 or 12.

Just make sure the wire is solid yellow, there is one that is yellow with a brown/black streak on it, bad things happen when you jump the wrong one.

Re: 99 elec club car not wanting to go - slow to nothing
Ok, update.
I jumped from the solid yellow small gauge wire on the solenoid to the last negative on the bank and it did the same thing: nothing. Just rolled forward a bit and stopped. What would I check next? |

Re: 99 elec club car not wanting to go - slow to nothing
What should I do with the microswitch? Is it adjustable? Should I jump it?

The microswitch in the black box inside the battery compartment. Is that the potentiometer with the V slide in it? How do I test the microswitch contained in it? Thanks.

Re: 99 elec club car not wanting to go - slow to nothing
Hi:
Please check the the acceleration pedal . It is coupled to a rotary switch. The center part of that rotary switch slides on contacts to set different electrical resistance to the motor armature (field). I am sure the center part is so worn. Regards |

You test to see if it is opening and closing. Set your volt meter to ohms. When the switch is activated it will change. One will be at 0 the other will open I believe to 5k. Either way one will be5k one will be 0.
