Default Club Car

How does a person hook up a light kit or radio to a DS Club car that has 6 - 8 volt batteries?

The problem you are facing is the fact that you need 12v? If so check with some of the the sponsors here for a converter. I've seen them as low as $60 from them. I just used a batterry from my son's old ride on Jeep toy (12v sealed gel cell with charger and fits anywhere) on mine and it works well, but new one of these would cost more than the converter.

You need a voltage reducer. You can google Club Car Voltage Reducer...comes with installation instructions. I put mine in so anyone should be able to do it Shop around...prices are all over the place and decide what all you want to run off of it before you buy, so that you buy one that can handle everything that you want to run

Would a 10amp reducer be enough for a Head/Tail light kit and a radio?
