Go to the alltrax website, lots of info. I think it keeps the regen (if you want it), but I'm not 100% sure. I have no problem losing regen for a 500 amp controller.

Wires alone will not do much, if anything. Yes, upgrade the wires when you upgrade your controller. The motor upgrade alone, will not require heavier wires. I'm still using 6 gage wires and they don't get hot, but that 500 amp alltrax dcx500iq will prolly melt them.

Ask plumquick if the bandit, will add enough torque for your needs. They have a great reputation. My commander did not add much torque at all, but I gained lots of speed.

PS: You were smart going with the 10x20 tires, as they won't kill your torque.
