I need to get a good set of wiring diagrams for this cart. I don't see the wires at the bottom of the f/r switch that you told me about. The cart seems to be running fine, the resistor coils are getting hotter than they did before I replaced the solenoids and micro switches. We can actually smell the resistors when we stop. Is that normal? Could it be that the solenoids were bad and not all of the current was going thru the resistors?

Being this is my first cart, I am learning a lot about this stuff as I go. One reply said the resistors get red hot, but before the replacement parts, they didn't get that hot. My wife and kids use it too and I want to make sure it is ok and safe to run.

Thumbs up Re: Electric Club Car electrical troubles

ok , makes sense, but before the solenoid went bad and the cart was running good, we didn't have the heat or smell. If that is how it is suppose to be and the kids are safe, cool!

Thanks for the input, it has been hellpful..........

the heat is normal and the smell should go away..............it could be that some gunk is on them from not getting hot and now its gonna get roasted off......................................
