Would that be in the Plattsburgh area? My cousin has a trailer there.
The cart I bought was not plugged in last winter and 5/6 batteries split open. This was in a Lake St. Clair camp ground. Bought the cart for $100.00

ill still need to take batteries out when i get it here. i dont have a garage. and my boat is in the carport..... and yes i do bring in my boat batteries.

so that makes 10 freakin batteries to haul out in next 2 weeks..... ;(
ill top them up in january unless they drop voltage sooner, in a heated basement.

if they dont hold a charge then they already have a problem.

i plan on wiring them up with 12ga wire and using the 48v charger to maintain em.

thats alot of work. if i skip it and leave everything outside, will they survive?

Nope. Since you wont be visiting the cart while store then it would be advised to either bring the batteries home and keep them charged or the whole cart and plug it in every couple weeks.

A fully charged battery will not freeze. This is why I would bring it home and throw the charger on them every two weeks.

i have seen batteries that in the fall seemed fine but did in fact split open over the winter but also have seen plenty including several sets of mine that were untouched all winter and were fine to the point i could jump on and drive cart a short distance if needed..........i say a short distance only because i never tried to go further...................................
