Re: Voltage reducer
Is it for a DS or a Precedent? Also year of cart and if a Precedent 4 or 6 batteries.

Re: Voltage reducer
What converter? A converter with a trigger wire for on/off hooked to the key switch or a toggle switch is recommended. Wiring is simple. Converter input hooked up to 48V fused pos & Neg. Output to fuse block, Aux devices ground to fuse block, pos feed from fuses to Aux devices. Trigger wire to key or toggle switch.
A fuse block designed for golf carts is best. It has Pos and Neg main terminals unlike most if not all automotive fuse blocks which only have a Pos terminal and intended for aux devices to ground back to frame. Golf carts do not ground back to frame. At least the ones I know about don't. Fuse block main Neg terminal needs to be grounded back to 48V Neg on battery. |

Re: Voltage reducer
If your reducer does not have a switched on/off feature like the one above, you can install a relay to turn it on and off with the key.
