Re: Just got a EZGO and want to know what I got
Here are some pics of the engine compartment and the body (which won't do much good as it is a1951 Studebaker Champion). I hope you can help me pin down what I have. I would like to get some manuals so I can start fixing it up. It needs some work. I need to find a good EZGO tech in my area, too.

Re: Just got a EZGO and want to know what I got
I would say you have a 2pg 80 to at least 84 because of the f/r shifter being an early style. It has the round knob where the later models have the flat shifter so I would go after parts for an 84 K? and all diagrams will be correct. You are mixing the gas right ? 128:1 or 1 oz per gallon!! as I didn't see and oil pump in the photos. Is the hole in the manifold plugged with a bolt or screw at the top ? What are your concerns just shout out.

Re: Just got a EZGO and want to know what I got
Lou,
Thank you so much for the info. I will hook my wagon to the cart being an 84k. I am in the process of strippin her down so as to get her ready for showtime. What would I ask for as far as a manual is concerned? I would really like to find a good tech in my area. I notice that the rig is real sluggish as far as kickin into gear. I don't know if that is a belt adjustment or what. The guy who owned this rig before me just used it to party 'round the campground. I want to bring her back from bein a street walker to bein a princess once more. |

Shout out to DAVE BOX as he has most manuals and can help with belt numbers and part numbers. There is no adjustment for the drive belt and it is a simple replace. Very good chance this could help you out. The starter/generator belt is adjustable (2) big bolts and (1) small adjusting bolt on a slide. All you do is loosen them tension the belt and re tighten.

Re: Just got a EZGO and want to know what I got
Hi! I'm afraid I don't know how to "Shout out" to DAVE BOX. (Darn Newbies like me). I would like to, though. I'm stripping my rig down to clean and restore it for all of the parades, festivals carshows, etc. around my area. Hey, the way I sees it...if ya got it, flaunt it...ya know? We should all be showin off our buggies to who ever will look, right? RIGHT!!!

I'm in the process of disassembling my cart for rehab and restore. Here are some additional pictures. If you can tell more about the year and model, I would be grateful.

looking at the shifter knob appears to be mid 80's.

I have an '86. The gas tank on mine is under the seat.
