Default Figures - JUST got her rebuilt and solenoid lets go ...

Managed to ride for almost 3hrs yesterday on the fresh rebuild and now I'm getting the "death rattle" from the solenoid and no turnover - figures, it's a holiday weekend too, grrrrr ....

Anyone use a NAPA ST80 as a replacement? 4-pole, continuous duty - *looks* like my huckleberry but I've been wrong with simple stuff before, think it will work?

That's my luck too! Don't feel bad. I don't see why that solenoid wouldn't work. Good luck!

Well I picked one up today *just* before NAPA closed, $60, ouch .... I'll toss it in tomorrow and post if it worked or not ...

We should think about setting up a "sticky" with a database of cross-referenced parts that work for the carts (for those who get caught in a bind and need to do a quick repair, etc) - might be a good plan in those cases where there's no time to order, wait, etc

Here's some

NAPA ST-85 68.00 OR
NAPA ST-80 58.00
OR Advance Auto Parts s603 (BWD) 28.00 has copper contacts
This one cross references to NAPA ST-80 30.00 difference?

the BWD from AAP isn't a stock item though, neither of the AAP's in our area had them - with the holiday, etc they couldn't have it til Wednesday (doesn't help much for the day of grillin' and cartin' tomorrow, LOL) .... Sucks to have to spwnd almost $30 extra, but oh well - it's a holiday and da**it, I'm gonna RIDE tomorrow, LOL

Come on Dale, you don't need no $80 solenoid. Just remove those big wires, put them in your special place and clench, the jolly green giant will fire right up. Now there's a sticky for you.
