sepex to series conversion
I want to change a 2007 Precedent from a sepex system to a series setup.
Will I have to change anything other than the motor, controller, f/w switch, wires, pot box & solenoid? |

Re: sepex to series conversion
That sure sounds like a lot of work and money for parts. Just wondering why? Probably cheaper to go buy a series cart.

On board computer and F&R, probable some of the wire harness too? Not too certain on the wiring because I've never seen this done.

Re: sepex to series conversion
IMHO, I would either sell or trade your cart for a series cart that you like. You'll spend a ton of money on a conversion that you may not break even on when you sell the cart!

Re: sepex to series conversion
I already have a d380 to put in; controller should be biggest expense.

Re: sepex to series conversion
Because I prefer a series setup for this application. In my experience, series controllers and motors hold up to a whole lot more abuse than any shunt style system I've ever seen. I'm constantly seeing shunt style systems come back with overheating problems when people use them in hilly terrain. In the neighborhood I may reccomend a shunt style, but in the woods it's series.
