Inverted and backwards

My speed controller on my 96 ds series is facing backwards and is inverted. I bring this up because I bought Scottyb's wiring mod and some of his cable's are too short. I'm going to ask him tomorrow but until then, I'm wondering if this installation is not original. There are 6 holes on the mounting rails that will allow the controller to be mounted facing any direction, thus allowing for changes to cable length's. I also noticed some of the wires are way longer than what is required, mostly those going from the controller to the motor. I probably need about a foot long cable but they are around 4 feet. I'm not dissing Scotty. Everything I got from him has been very nice. Just trying to get a jump on things.

i my self can not picture what your talking about ?, if you want a jump on things, i would say a few pics of the controller and mount would help us help you

Lugs face the rear. Controller mounts under rails, flat black surface facing up.

Interesting... The 36v carts I've worked on have controllers mounted like this, and so did a '95 48v I just put a new OBC on... Would be interesting to know just when Club Car switched to the mounting shown in CTD's diagram, as I've seen lots this way.

My cart is 9603 and is not like CTD's.

My 95 48v DS is exactly as Shempferd has described. Looks nothing like CTD diagram. It is all original equipment.
