Re: Vinyl wrap
Thanks. Very helpful.
I've been given a price of $12.50 per square foot installed. So you say 20 square feet did it? $250 I can handle! ..a |

Re: Vinyl wrap
No it takes roughly 40 sq feet to do it.
I had 20 sq feet left from my 60 sq foot kit. My kit was 225 shipped to my house. If you would like I could give you the vendor I used. Its the same price for 60 sq feet from them as it is for other companies that only give you 40 sqaure feet. I went with the extra for the same price just in case I messed up, plus why not get more for the the same price? |

Re: Vinyl wrap
Please, PM me that info. at $12.50/sq', that would be almost $500. For that price, I'll try it myself..

Re: Vinyl wrap
At this point I don't think I'd recommend plasti-dip, I'm battling an uneven coverage problem on the front of my cart and I've decided I really don't care for the rubbery feel of the paint, it's easy to scratch/gouge.
For my project I was aiming to keep it low budget first and foremost but still look relatively cool. I did a bit of body work to get mine paintable, then I sprayed 5 cans of plasti-dip on which ended up being 3 coats, then I did 3 coats of their gloss product. It looks....meh I think. Pics are here: http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...-progress.html Everything looks good except for the front when you look at it from an angle like in the picture. I don't know if it needs more coats or what, I sprayed everything on the cart with the same speed and overlap so i have no clue whey it looks like that in front. I just ordered 2 more cans of plasti-dip to redo the front so we'll see how it comes out. Paint cost me $70 so far, if these 2 cans make the front look like the rest of the cart I will be happy. |

Re: Vinyl wrap
MxChris - I would of been more then happy to do that but due to all of the scrathes and dings it was better to wrap it.
Im unsure of eflyguy body condition but he mentioned having a camo body and a wrap in my opinion, is the best for that look. |

Re: Vinyl wrap
Thanks for the info. After all that, my daughter says she likes the camo seat, but would like the body stay blue as it is! Glad I asked!
I'm going to plasti-dip the roof, though.. ..a |

Re: Vinyl wrap
Rough estimate to do our wrap is $350-$550 designed and installed. base coat/clear coat was $450-$650 depending on whether is fix the cracks in the nose or if i leave it for the body shop to do. Not sure yet on the direction we will go.
