Stereo Systems
Can a stock G16 4 stroke starter/generator handle the load of an amp and sub?

Re: Stereo Systems
Not likely...but you could always put it kn a separate battery with an isolator. Then you could put the separate battery on a charger when your back at home.

Re: Stereo Systems
I have seen the stock starter generator output as much as 40 amps, for a short period of time. Probably would not do wonders for the lifespan of the brushes. If you added another battery to the system with the stock battery (no expensive isolator needed), it would be fine for a modest stereo/amp combo. Most of the power draw is gonna happen during the brief bass hits anyway. Not gonna fly if you are trying to add a competetion-level audio system, or are playing music that is totally bass heavy with constant bass (much of rap is like this).
