Melex cart charged batteries but will run a short distance
Hello, I have a Melex cart it has 6 new charged batteries the problem I am having is will run fine for a few minutes then its like the batteries go dead. But there not. If I leave it sit for a bit it takes off for a short while again. another thing is when I push the pedel it almost wants to spin the tires...Deka Batteries there brand new, the charger is a club car charger. the batteries are at 12.7 There fully charged it just seems like there not after I drive it a short distance. because if I let it sit for about 5 minutes it takes off fast but only runs a short distance about 1 minute...

need more info on what cart you have? what batteries.-- charger your using, -- volts of your batteries, 36 volt or 48 volt pack |

we need to know the year of the cart, and the drive system, if you post the ser# we can tell you what cart it is? this is a Club Car right
12.73 is a fully charger battery, 12.7 is a dead battery  |

It says melex in the thread title so I'm guessing older 6/6v batteries orig.
What 12v batteries are you using now? |

my bad it is 12.73 and it is a Melex gulf cart...I can not find any serial number on the cart

I have 6 brand new Deka batteries 6 volt.

I just went out and moved the cart it just takes off like a rocket I barely even push the pedal and it just like it is full pedal...... but it will only run a short distance then I let it sit for a few minutes and again it takes off big time
