![]() Came across some specs, figured I'd share. This is the second gen OEM factory lithium pack built by samsung offered in the ezgo elite buggies. The first gen was still samsung but had a separate BMS and was all black, probably older cell technology (2017 design).
PACK: -Minimum capacity = 54.66Ah -Nominal voltage = 50.34V -Temp range = -22F to 140F CELLS: * SAMSUNG 21700 50G 3.63V 4850mAh 9.7A Rechargeable Li-ion Battery-Blue * Brand: SAMSUNG * Color: Blue * Material: Lithium * Type: Lithium ion * Model: 21700 * Actual Capacity: 4850mAh * Maximum discharge current: 9.7A * Battery Voltage: 3.63V * Charging Voltage End: 4.2V * Discharging Voltage End: 2.5 V * Rechargeable: Yes * Rechargeable Times: 1000 * PCB Protected Board: No * Height : Max.70.15mm * Diameter : Φ Max.21.1mm * Weight: 69.5g |

![]() The stated battery numbers are for each individual battery in the total pack.
So, I'm assuming (guessing) that 14 individual batteries make up a pack? If that's the case, then: Pack V: 14 x 3.63 = 50.82V Max Discharge: 9.7A x 14 = 135A Pack Capacity in AMP\Hr: 4850 x 14 = 67,900mha or 67.9AH Weight: 69.5g x 14 = 973g or 2.14lbs......? That doesn't make sense. I'm sure I've missed something.....but this pack may work very well around a golf course or paved road community. |

![]() Doubled checked the data sheet, the cell weight is correct.
I guess busbars and plastic casing is the bulk of the weight? Last edited by TheCartBoy; 09-15-2023 at 02:25 PM.. Reason: Read datasheet |

![]() Not quite, pack capacity is 54.66Ah, cell capacity is 4.85Ah. 54.66/4.85=11.27, so there are 11 or 12 PARALLEL cells in each string. I would say 12. There are 14 strings, so 168 cells.
12 x 9.7A = 116.4A continuous. 168 x 65.9g = 11.07kg. 21700 cells are a standard lithium ion cell being 21mm in diameter and 70mm long, just a bit larger than the just about everywhere 18650 cell. (18mm diameter, 65mm long) |
