![]() I have a 97 gas DS Club Car that has a few seconds delay in starting. When I push on the Go peddle, I hear very little noise, and then a few seconds later it starts up. This delay happens in both forward and reverse.

![]() I think I found out the reason for this. The belt from the starter to the engine was pretty loose, and the pulley on the starter was just spinning without turning over the engine. I tightened the belt and now it starts much faster.
