Brake Pad Switch vs Micro Switches
Is one better than the other? I'm getting ready to install lights on a DS, I've used the micro switch set up on previous builds and thought about trying the pad switch. It seems much easier to mount, I don't have to get under cart and drill holes.
Anybody using these? |

Re: Brake Pad Switch vs Micro Switches
I have used the pad mount on three cart builds that I have done with great success...

Re: Brake Pad Switch vs Micro Switches
For me, I hate the cluttered look of the press pad. Micros make for a clean look.
Ive had way more issues with press pads than Ive ever had with micros |

Re: Brake Pad Switch vs Micro Switches
The pad leaves the upper pedal exposed, and has to be pressed in the center. Not as accurate.

OK, thanks guys, staying with micro.
How about 1 micro with timer. I have that on my Precedent and it seems to work fine for about a year now. What ya'll think about that? Thanks,Muddog |

It's fine to use as well. I don't like the pressure pads. They're too sensitive and you have to hit them in just the right spot to make them work.
