The other thing is my carb has no air/fuel mixture screw to adj on the high side. Just for the idle side.

Don't know if the OE has one or not.
If I had two carbs to play with, I would try drilling out the main jet a little. And maybe giving it more air. Think it would run better and maybe pull harder.

Gearhead, I don't think there is any adjustment on the OE card but the idle mixture on the top but the Chinese cards have the same adjustment. LOL not sure if many folks wanna get rid of there OE carb but you never know. I am still working on tearing down the first Chinese carb but I am planning on thoroughly cleaning both of them so i will have a back up.

Not sure on drilling out the main, i would definitely have to talk to someone that had done it and didn't have any issues with the modification. I'm a big chicken!

Do a little more searching for that stock carb. Parts for the Robbins engines through Ezgo have gone through the roof because they don't carry them much any more. They have gone to the Kawasaki engines now. David doesn't have them listed on his site but pretty sure he has the contacts to get them at a price better than $160 and he is a sponsor

Ok, so here is the update on my cart. Over the weekend I replaced all fuel lines, replaced the fuel filter, and tore the carburetor completely down and soaked and cleaned in thoroughly.

I am having to feather the gas pedal and find a sweet spot for the engine to run and even then it will not go to WOT and will not fully engage the clutches (cart in neutral) and still spitting and sputtering.

Talked to a guy here in town and he said that he had to clean his chinese carb 4 or 5 times before it ever started running even close to normal.

The only thing I haven't changed out is the fuel pump and maybe I just need to go that route and see if it makes any difference. I sure hate that i ever ran this buggy out of gas because it has been a nightmare since then.
