Limited Slip Differential ?
I have a 48-V EZ-GO that has a limited slip differential in the rear end. Now, this cart will climb trees in forward and both rear wheels will drive. However, when in reverse....it's a different world. It goes back to the old "regular differential" days where just one wheel will drive it.
Is that normal? (I'm not asking if I'm normal....we have established that in another thread) Dave |

Re: Limited Slip Differential ?
Yes on both accounts!
I think the gears only lock up in the forward direction. When you go in reverse the pressure is released only letting one wheel pull. |

Re: Limited Slip Differential ?
I agree, That's why I went with Plowman's posi. I was told it would pull either way. I'm not up and running yet, so I haven't verified this yet. As an added bonus it's made in America!! |
