Default need to outrun my buddy!!

we both have 87-88 gas carts. his will outrun by just a little bit!!! what can i do to just outrun him a little bit. both have the governors disconnected!! it is a matter of bragging rights in the neighborhood!! different belt?? i am an old dragtracer and dirtbtrack guy and cant to get beat!!!

Curiosity why the name "capri man" and throw a cone air filter on there + drill out the main jet bigger, you will smoke him lol

i used to drag race a mercury capri!! smoke being the key word, huh?

Put an HEI conversion on it so you have more spark than him then crank the timing up 3 degrees. Pull the air filter off!! (Drag racers know to pull more air in with less restriction you will go faster...However your motor could suck up dirt and crap. Only do it for a short run so as to not mess up the motor.) Be sure the alignment is 100%...Grease anything that will take grease...and pray!! Good Luck!!
