If you ever have a question about fuel pump working: Get an empty water, soda, platic bottle. Take fuel line off of carb. Put fuel line into bottle and press accelerator...(be sure to have cart in service mode!). See if gas is spitting into the bottle.

Also, ignore message about filters not being full. I was testing a cart today and sometimes the filters were full, sometimes not. Sometimes the bottom filter was full and top empty. Then some times, both looked empty. Go figure.

That's not what I've read about these. On the KF82 flathead motors (1984-1991), the acceptable range is more like 90-120 psi. Where are you getting 150-175 psi from? Maybe newer OHV motors have a higher acceptable compression range like that, but I don't think the old flatheads do.

You are correct. My mistake. I overlooked the year model your dealing with. I was referring to the OHV's. Sorry about that!

I see the original poster got his cart running. I'll post this in case someone else come to this thread looking for a solution...

I had this problem once and found that the fuel tube in the gas tank had come off the fitting. I fished it out and reconnected it to the fitting and all was well. Hasn't happened again and its been a couple years.
