Default Charger location question

I have a 08 yamaha drive with a 48 volt charger that looks like this.

My question is, does this charger have to be sitting on something, or can it be mounted on a wall. It has holes in the fins on the base that appear to be there for mounting screws. It would work nice if I could mount it on the wall laying it horizontally.

Just wasn't sure if this could be done, or should it be laying it flat on a base.

Just don't block the fan on the end away from the cord.

Fan never comes on anyway.

It would be best to determine the hottest part of the charger while it's flat on the ground and if you vertically mount it on a wall make sure the hottest part is facing up.

I've heard my fan come on. At least I thought that sound was the fan. I'll have to look next time to see if the fan is turning or not.

That charger should be mounted vertically if put on a wall. The holes are slotted the way they are because thats the way the engineers wanted it placed if mounted.
