Default 01' CC w/ 290 engine running intermittently

Sometimes cart runs like a top; other times it spits and sputters. There is no pattern with this, but if you hold the throttle wide open, after it sputters a few minutes it will completely shut off then take off like nothing was wrong. I'm thinking fuel pump but am a newbie so thought I would get some help.

When this happens is there fuel in the inline filter? Speaking of the filter......When was the last time you changed it. WOT would increase the suction and maybe overcome a dirty filter for a while longer....

It has two filters and neither is ever over half full. I changed both of them about four months ago.

That's normal!

Check to see if your "Air Box" lid is secure...
CC's are very "persnickity" on their air to fuel mixture ratio!

(I found that out the hard way!)
