Default Alltrax controller questions

I just did 500amp controller and motor on my g29, The cart takes off ok does 27mph on flat but in reverse The cart spins the tires on take off and seems to have more nuts, I cant get the top speed in reverse as it gets a little scary but im flying when i have to get out of it???? When i hooked up the computer I think reverse was at 70% power. Just wondering if this is normal or not. Thanks

You should dial down the reverse to be at or below 50%. You can also "soften" the throttle response with the throttle curve. I also dialed down the max current and max regen current on mine because it was a bit more than I needed. Use the app and adjust until you get it the way you like it. Mine came set up for an 8 pole speed sensor but my motor had a 4 pole so that caused it to be very harsh on the throttle. It took me a while to figure that out because I thought I had an 8 pole sensor too. My cart is a YDRE Drive.
You can also limit the max motor rpm if you don't want it going too fast. I have mine dialed to 25MPH max.

I forgot to mention that if you collect data in the monitor mode, you can send it to the support folks at Alltrax to look at. They can suggest any changes based on that. I did a full throttle from stop test and sent that. You need a laptop hooked up while driving to do this. The nice thing about the Alltrax controller is that it is very flexible with the adjustments. Stock controllers give you no adjustments at all.

The XCT500 has proven to be too much amperage access for the stock Yamaha motor.
Turn it down to 450a max or call your dealer or Alltrax for recommendations.

Who told you this? Stock controllers have top speed & regen strength adjustments.

Alltrax. Call and ask a technician about the track record. This has nothing to do with the stock control, I'm just talking about the XCT500, do a BGW search on the subject. It's documented.

Let me clarify. The stock controllers have no "User" adjustments. At least the ones I have experience with.

I was not talking about 500a for stock motors, i have advised against that for a long time (since i learned first-hand that it doesnt live long)
