Default Shock Absorber Info

1974 HD 4 wheel electric cart - Shock Info.

Finally after much cleaning of the shock discovered original HD part number:
54534-73 stamped in the metal. Seems it was used in the HD Shovelhead Cycle! Lots are available on the web but many are sold in a pair and all are expensive.
Found on Buggies Unlimited for 37$, pn 5014. Had to compress springs a bit to make it stretch - no batteries were installed at the time.

The design of this cart leads to the shock being damaged when backing into things......look for a big dent in the lower rear.

Johnny Reb - tried that but unfortunately could not get guys to find any matches - some computers at stores had total length to search for but every one they came up with were too big around. I believe the right store could find a match......maybe if someone found a match they could post it here - would be the cheapest way to go.....
