Default No movement in my 79 Master Glide IV

New batteries, new solenoids, reverse buzzer goes off in both forward and reverse, believe wiring is correct on solenoids, heading towards speed plate wiring, noticed that solenoids are not actuating until striker hits last pad. thinking either bad wire or connection to plate or striker itself. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks....
