Re: New to carts with an ezgo
As said ,you need a golf cart battery charger to get batteries charged.
A steady charge at 5 amps is not going to charge pack. The pics shows fair amount of water on battery tops meaning they prabally were over filled. Only fill about 1/4” above the plates. Do you have fully charged voltage and pack voltage under load ? |

Re: New to carts with an ezgo
Ok so I got back home and charged the batteries till the charger said full and stopped charging. All batteries read 6.7 volts except one that read 4.6. I rode it to an incline and while the cart was under load and not able to go, each battery read 6.0 and the one that was 4.6 was negative 0.4. If I replace the one low battery, will if fix my problems?

Re: New to carts with an ezgo
buzzing and motor stall can also be failing brushes--also caused by low voltage.
I deal with this issue with Tomberlins all the time--it's kinda a buzz Sssshpop! and it stops going. battery reading 4.6 volts is BAD. Also seems like it's battery time in general. just replacing one will shorten the life of it. always replace all of them. |
