The clutch and driveunit is the same on all of the Precedent model carts, so I cannot see where there would be any problem with any spring. In 2006, Club Car went to the FE350 engine over the FE290 used 2004-2005. They too use the same driveunit and clutch. Can someone explain to me why anyone would feel the spring would not work for certain year Precedent model carts? It is all the same as the DS as well.

J&M
You are correct on the springs they all are the same up to 09. Same drive and driven clutch.
As I explained to jrboatin on the phone, Lets say you take your golf cart to the dealer to have smaller tires put on the back to gain some low end power. When you pick it up and take if for a test ride and you think there is no improvement in low end. Does this mean the dealer didn't put on the smaller tires?? Nope they are on there. There has to be some improvement because of the smaller tires, Even if it has other issues and is not peforming correctly the math proves that the ratio changed. Now your buddy does the exact same thing to his exact same golf cart with the exact same smaller tires. Well he notices a nice improvement in low end. Whats up with that????

Two possible answers here.
1. Buddies golf cart is in better condition so difference is more pronounced.
2. First guys expectations are to high on amount of increase.

We machine several clutches a week and have for over 10 years now. Jrboatin is the first guy to say it made ZERO improvement. So I guess now I have to contact all past customers and let them know to quit brag'in about how their cart will climb like a mountain goat or tow a truck. Cause jrboatin says this $hit don't work. Mr jrboatin may think he's talking to a desk driver, But I'm a cart man and I drive the $hit out of em. We don't do it cause it works on paper, We do it cause it works in the real world.
Sorry you didn't notice a increase, We who have noticed a difference must just be stupid. And you just can't fix stupid.

OK, I was curious about the spring issue. I know there is an increase as we are working on our own clutches here. As for changes to the 2009 Precedent model carts...they too are the same as the previous years. Given this, I would have to say the spring modifications would work on ALL Precedent model gas carts.

I believe you are partially correct. It will work on all Precedents and DS carts 88-09 EXCEPT jrboatin's. He will not notice a increase and will call you stupid. Oh yeah your help will be stupid too.

Now when I heard from him a week or two ago it was working good, Maybe he got into a tangle with bud.
We all know Bud's wiser, Not me i'm just stupid

Dude... don't blow a blood vessel!

He's apperently "tried" to make things right!
But... apperently it's just not good enough for you...
What is it that "you think" would make it right?
(not saying that it'll happen... just curious on your expectations...)

So it's your way or the highway? That might make me laugh too. You don't seem to want to participate in finding a solution, but dragging Tom through the mud is OK? What's up with that?
