Re: adding a rear bed
kmartz due to health reasons I decided not to do the lift so there was not room under the second seat foot rest to mount the receiver because it would have only been about 7" off the ground. I will find a 3/4" plate and mount it with bolts between the rear bed back support bar and just use a 'fixed' ball hitch for the trailer. Got to have a trailer hitch. :)
wizardket that power coated box really adds to the look of oyur cart and will stay looking nice. I saw one for sell in Nashville with that style box. Being a family of four we went with the fold out box but it is not deep like yours. |

Gale,
Sounds like you have a plan. That's half the battle. Enjoy that hitch and get better soon. |

Re: adding a rear bed
Libertybell, did you ever decide on a bed? I have been contemplating the idea also and cannot find much out there. One thing I know for sure is that I do not want the back seat because of the foot rest eliminating ground clearance. The best deals I was able to find was the steel cargo bed at everything carts for $200 and the plastic cargo bed from golfcartking for $240 I believe.

Re: adding a rear bed
Here's where I am on the bed:
I found out that all beds require a top 'kit' in order to re-attach the top. And, I have found that I like having the OEM basket behind the seat. I am planning on making my own rear bed. It will be framed of EMT 1" pipe and expanded metal. Probably 4-6" deep. I'm going to weld it to the back of the OEM seat frame and them drop a piece of square pipe down to my trailer hitch for extra support. This way I have a bed for cargo and it can support an additional rider (or dogs) when needed. |

Re: adding a rear bed
My Medalist has a factory box on it. I scored a sweater basket cheap on eBay and mounted it to the top struts with generic perforated angle and a few self-drilling screws. Works like a charm! I also used the angle to mount a club bag cover.
