Default Will not charge

I have a 1997 48V club car, I kept it in my garage all winter and replaced the batteries w/ new. All systems working fine until i pluged it in to charge for the first time and the charger did not respond, I checked again with a known good charger and same result. I know that with this system the charger needs to see voltage come on but this one will not activate the charger. If i disconnect the positive lead from the battery the charger will come on and run for approx. 15 seconds and shut off. Any and all help would be appreciated.

well if you tried a known working charger and it won,t charge have you tried your charger on another cart? .......that being said if your receptical fuse is good and it should be and the fuse in the grey wire is good and the grey wire dosn,t pull out of the receptical i would think your OBC went out..........don,t ask me why it happens this way from just sitting but have seen it plenty of times......................................

Thanks for the info, and yes i did check it on a different cart and it will work fine. If the obc went bad i have read on this site about resetting them would this be a possibility of is it just NG. and needs to be replaced.

you can try a reset but don,t get your hopes up..................if your dash battery light is still the red one chances are its the original OBC but try giving the grey wire a tug make sure it dosn,t pull out of the receptical if not i would change the OBC..............................................8 )
