Hyundai motor question
I am thinking about picking up a Hyundai gas golf cart that cosmetic wise is in great shape but the motor is out and sitting on the rear of the cart. So my question is what motor came in these carts, what is the easiest motor to replace it with or are there parts available to fix the stock motor(do not know what is wrong with it)? The only other option is not to bother with it, but I have caught a cart bug after buying the first 2 weeks ago which is almost ready for paint.
Thanks in advance! |

Re: Hyundai motor question
So I went tonight and I looked at the cart and it is all there and it is good shape no rust and the body is nice. I took a quick look at the motor but didnt look to hard since it will most likely be trash. he is going to throw in an old club car (electric) that is in pretty bad shape but all the electronics are there just no batteries. He is wanting $350 for both what do ya think is it worth it. This guy also has an older ez go (2 stroke) that has no motor he will ad to it for another $250 and this cart just needs paint and a motor.

Re: Hyundai motor question
Go slowly my son ........... LOL. I went into the "OOh-OOh Golf carts .. Gotta buy carts" mode for awhile. Within 4 months I had two G-1's, two Marathons, a Pargo, a Club Car, an EZGO TXT and http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/gas-g...tml#post108852
What I'm saying is these things have a way of making you buy more and more of them. If you have $350 to spare and a place to put them .... Hammer! But thats me ......... I've always had OCD and my addiction is "more" ...... Good luck. Don't be stingy. We need pics of the Hyundai and the rest of your stuff ......... Oh yeah Doc, Welcome to BGW. |

Re: Hyundai motor question
I gave 100 for my hyundai , body is plastic so it won't have any rust , the back part has a joint that I found hard to keep together , put a briggs 18 hp opposed twin in mine drove it around here for a while , grandyoungins drove it more than I did and it would fly , so I traded it off for an ezgo with 14" of lift to keep them from getting hurt .

Re: Hyundai motor question
Well the Hyundai made it to the house tonight I ended up trading him an old electric ez go that was in real bad shape. I just took the head off the motor and the piston and rod are gone and I mean gone nothing left at all. I will be on the hunt for a motor to put in its place and be working on a lift for it. I will post pics during the day tomorrow.
