Default ICON Battery Configuration

Hello All,

We took delivery of i60l last week and are loving it, but still getting to know it...

I paid for battery upgrade to eight 6v batteries instead of six 8v batteries just due to my research and feedback that 6v battery configuration will provide longer range (higher AH Amp Hours).

We thought we were getting Trojan T-105 6v (225AH) batteries, but Crown CR-205 (205AH) batteries were installed.

Anyone have feedback on the 2 battery types? Performance (especially for range)?

I'm still "breaking in" batteries now...driving until meter shows 75% then recharging, but I'm only getting about 6 miles until meter displays 75%.

So of course I'm wondering if I should have the Trojan T-105 6v batteries installed instead of the Crown batteries.

Does anyone have feedback on which batteries and configuration is working best for you (for longest range)?

Thanks for any tips or additional info!

Dave

Thumbs up Re: ICON Battery Configuration

You might want to discuss the fact that Trojan T105 batteries were
expected but instead got the Crown CR 205...and the why of it.

Inquire if they would exchange Crown CR 205 for Crown CR 260ah..
higher capacity...longer run time and range..

Currently using the Crown agm 6CRV 260ah on my I40...and have ridden
distances of about 25 miles (cart's odo) without dropping below 80%
soc (foggy memory recall)...

However because I am running agms the delta q charger is replaced by
an out board Eagle Pro charger with a custom profile for my agms created
by Lee Fisher area rep for both Crown and Eagle Pro chargers...as the
delta q does not have the correct Crown agm profile. My charger is the
Eagle Pro I4818 48 volt unit

My current agms were transferred from my previous cart to my I40
and have a combined 5500 miles driven in a 2 year time frame...flawless performance ...

Hope this sheds some light for you

Best wishes
