Default Adjusting rear brakes

I just replaced the rear brake shoes on my workhorse. What is the proper way to adjust them up? Thanks for all your help.... Jake

Make sure the adjusters work freely and with them adjusted tight enough to just get the drum on. Then you drive repeatedly back a forth getting up some speed and stepping on the brakes, the auto adjuster work just like ones in a drum brake setup on a car. It will take some time to get the pads broke in so it may seem as if it's not stopping as well as it should for a little bit
