EZGO Electic golf cart wont drive in forward or reverse.
My EZGO golf cart will not go in forward or reverse. It makes a strange sound when you push the accelerator. I am a new owner and need to know where to start troubleshooting. This was not a gradual problem, it just happened all of a sudden.

Welcome to BGW
sounds like a striped brake hub, you have to be able to see the castle nut in the middle of your rear wheels, if you have a center cap covering the nut, you need to remove it, when you can see the castle nut holding the hub on the axle, --- this will take two people to do, one of you put your foot on the brake and push the go pedal easy, JUST for a second, and the other needs to see if the NUT in the middle of the wheel is spinning, and the wheel is not, start with the driver side, but check both , this is a common problem with ezgo, let us know what you find, its a easy fix if this is your problem. |

I didnt clarify, but the forward/reverse switch will move although it isn't smooth,but the actual cart.

Yes, I think he understood you. The cart goes into gear and makes noise only when you press the gas but, no movement, correct?
