Re: Motor / Controller - First Impressions
I played with the settings on the contorller - neat feature but yielded very few real results. I was able to change the accelleration curve a bit though.
TOP SPEED: The cart tops out at 22.9 mph. Top speed is 1mph more than the 2007 with a speed chip and 22" tires and about 8mph over a bone stock cart. ACCELERATION: Flat hard pavement accelleration with 1 person is no better than a 2007 PDS with a speed chip installed. Not at all. HILL CLIMB: (45 degree 100 feet) Continues to accelerate up the hill. 1 person or 2 doesn't really seem to matter. 2 adult males 225+ pounds each and no problem. Stock cart with lift and speed chip couldn't make it up without a running start. I wouldn't even try with the stock cart. I watch the golfers get stuck here every single day of the week! Overall I'm neutral. I was hoping for something else... but then again, this is EXACTLY what the D&D site said would be the end result. The performance is spot on with what they told me it would be. Looks like the quest to 48 volts will be sooner rather than later. I'm going to run the log on it later today or tomorrow and post up... let's see if there is something in there that is wrong or not performing to par. |

Did you buy a programming cable? Check and make sure it's set to go full throttle. It should be set wide open from the factory. Also make sure you are getting full travel on the throttle. |

Re: Motor / Controller - First Impressions
I posted up the numbers in the other thread - but yes, I can get into it... it's set at 100%, Turbo is on, all systems are go... I think?

Re: Motor / Controller - First Impressions
Then the 4620 RPM rating doesn't jive. Perhaps that is a "motor maximum" number as opposed to a "motor rating" number. At least you got what you paid for.

Re: Motor / Controller - First Impressions
It sounds like the 4620 rating is based on 48 volts. Does it say on the motor what voltage? It doesn't say on D&D's site.
