The pre-charge resistor? When I installed it I did not notice any directional issues, but will double check.

Here is the basic wiring diagram I've been referring too and the solenoid. in several wiring diagrams I see no reference of a diode being used.

You must have the OEM solenoid and the diode is hard to see.

The diode, sometimes referred to as "flyback" diode, must be installed, reversed biased, across every solenoid and relay coil to prevent the high voltage that is generated by coil when it gets de-energized from damaging the device that turned it OFF.

I am attaching a picture of the OEM solenoid, look at the 0.250" quick connects for the coil, You will see the diode installed with the stripe towards the positive terminal where the light blue wire should be connected.

You will need to disconnect one of the diode leads in order to test the diode with the multi-meter.

EDIT- It's on the solenoid as noted.

Blue/white wire goes from the other post and into the controller.


I've got that wiring diagram as well, just find the other one easier to follow.

appears it was the controller. Put the rebuilt one on, pressed GO and the wheels spun- so in the right direction. No sure about speed, but I'll tackle that separately.

Now onto redoing the brakes.
