Re: 36v to 48v conversion on 2000 ds club car.
Grandson said he adjusted the throttle signal and got it down to 6.20 0ms. says it has more adjustment left to go. He will adjust some more a little later.

Re: 36v to 48v conversion on 2000 ds club car.
Problem solved. Grandson re wired the vglide and reversed the #2 & #3 wires on the controller.
Guess the hemorrhoid knew what he was doing. |

Re: 36v to 48v conversion on 2000 ds club car.
The GE star controller has 3 pots on the side. Center one is throttle ramp up rate. Make SMALL adjustments with a light touch or risk breaking the adjuster off!

Re: 36v to 48v conversion on 2000 ds club car.
Thank scottyb. Grandson said it only has 3 small terminals and 3 big terminals. none of the other stuff.
The before patten on the 3 small terminals. Was #1 red #2 white #3 black. When I switch the # 2 and # 3 wires after rewiring the vglide and cart drove normal. Is it ok with the way he did it? Will it hurt anything? |

Re: 36v to 48v conversion on 2000 ds club car.
If it is working then it is wired correctly now.
The issue is sometimes they incorrectly refer to a 3-wire throttle as a 5kΩ-0 throttle when they are in fact a 0-5v throttle. The position of the wires makes a difference in this case. The colors are irrelevant at this point since it has been re-wired, the important thing is that the wire connected to the Multi-Step potentiometer (VGlide) wiper arm is on controller terminal #2. The wire on the opposite end of the Vglide (furthest away from the wiper connection) is connected to controller terminal #3. |

Re: 36v to 48v conversion on 2000 ds club car.
The majority of the time these controls do not care which throttle signal wire is on which terminal. Occasionally I hear swapping them fixes a problem.

Re: 36v to 48v conversion on 2000 ds club car.
The grandson here! The wire connected to the wiper is now on #3 and wire furthest away is on #2 . Cart acts normal no hard take off in forward or reverse now . Operates smooth . And since the cart was a 36 to 48 conversion I can't find any descent diagrams.

Re: 36v to 48v conversion on 2000 ds club car.
The controller was made by Logisystems for BU. We sold them for a while. The company folded up a few years ago. If the control fails the FSIP GE control I showed would be the closest replacement but, the Alltrax SR48500 would be the best replacement for a few dollars more. Enjoy the ride
