Default Just picked up a 1995 EZ-GO PCX-954

I just bought a EZ-GO PCX-954 Shuttle. I got it at a good price (I think) at $1000.

I just checked and it's supposed to be 36v. I checked and it has a Curtis 1205-112 controller marked 36v and a GE Motor marked at 36v. However, the guy I bought it from has 48v worth of batteries in it.

Seems to run fine at the current configuration and even tops out at about 17mph but am I asking for trouble running it this way?

Here's the beast...

The motor can take it.....not sure how long the controller can. The controller and solenoid should be 48v rated.

You probably don’t [emoji52] The only other one of those I’ve seen was ripped to shreds. It doesn’t last long at all in the sun.

I think those carts are so cool. I'd love to find one in my area. I'd say that was a great buy!

Cool Re: Just picked up a 1995 EZ-GO PCX-954

I built this one about 10 years ago. I used it at the drag strip to haul the dragster up to the starting line and just riding around in the pits. Hookem bought it and turned it into a gas cart and then sold it. He lifted it also.

I still have the bumpers, coils, and rear end from it.
They are cool carts for sure.
