EZGO 48V TXT not moving
I am having an issue with my 2011 48V TXT. I press the accelerator and nothing happens.
I've checked all these things and even replaced the solenoid but it still doesn't engage or if it does I can't hear it. When I press the accelerator I can hear the micro switch click but that is it. I've listed the majority of what I've checked but if there is anything I missed please let me know. |

Re: EZGO 48V TXT not moving
Was there an event that led to the no-go situation?
Did you wash the cart one day then nothing? Is the solenoid clicking at all or no? The solenoid gets the signal to click or not from the controller and the stock controller (I think) only engages the solenoid after it gets a throttle signal. |

Re: EZGO 48V TXT not moving
If the car thinks it's plugged into a charger it will shut down--many cases arise around here where either it rained, or it was washed or somehow the charge receptacle got shorted somehow fooling the car into shutting down due to assuming it was plugged in.
The handheld will have Charger Connected: YES listed under Monitor-->Inputs if that's the case. Disconnecting the blue wire from the receptacle and jumping that to main 48V + will fool car into thinking it's NOT connected to a charger and bypass this electronic 'reed switch' |

Re: EZGO 48V TXT not moving
I've checked the charge cable (blue wire) and it reads 49v.
I took it out of storage after about 3 months and I haven't been able to get it to move. I can't get the solenoid to click so I am thinking it's a bad controller. This is after already replacing the solenoid. |

Re: EZGO 48V TXT not moving
With charger disconnected, Run/Tow in RUN, keyswitch ON, F selected on F/R switch and pedal pushed, you ought to have battery pack voltage on the following Pins: 5, 6, 8, 9 and 10.
Missing full battery pack voltage on any of them and the controller won't activate the solenoid. This schematic is easier to read. |

Re: EZGO 48V TXT not moving
So if I’m missing voltage on any of those I need to replace the controller?
Am I understanding you correctly? |

Re: EZGO 48V TXT not moving
Assuming you have power in where needed and not power where it should be coming out, yes. The popular replacement/upgrade for this cart is the Alltrax XCT400 controller & SW180 solenoid.

Re: EZGO 48V TXT not moving
If you are missing voltage at any of those pins you need to figure out why. If they are controller supplied then the controller is bad

Quote:
2. No If one or more of the voltages is missing, there is a bad switch or wire. Trace from the Pin in the controller plug back to the voltage source for that pin and fix whatever is keeping the voltage from getting to the controller. Only if all those voltages are present and the solenoid does not energize, the controller is most likely bad. |
