Well, there is tons of data showing otherwise, and my own testing has clearly shown me that they don't give full potential when new. And a proper break-in brings them up to their "plateau". I will contend that a brand-new set of T1275 bats only break the "bare minimum" (time to replace them) score by about 25% when tested, it gets better as they make their plateau. That "no break-in needed" thing was likely a statement just to "get you off their phone". All other evidence points otherwise.
