Default RXV disabled

Have another 2008 RXV to sort out. This one is not passing the twist test on startup. Fresh brake installed, batteries are known-good. Brake will release when Run/Tow set to Tow and key in neutral, so I think the new brake is working correctly. The old brake behaved the same way but I replaced it because of cart history. Anything else I can check?

You sure it's the twist test portion of boot-up that's failing? Also, just because the brake can be unlocked by other means, doesn't mean that the brake passes twist test.

It is clearly not clicking as many times as its sister cart when you try and drive it.

The brake I installed is aftermarket heavy duty. ShopeZgo stopped listing them for sale for some reason.

From what I understand that hd brake is bad for the old style controller and can cook the brake circuit. You need to find the original non-hd

Found one at a site sponsor. They are very scarce for a 2008 model apparently.

So, I have tried every trick I know (both of them, lol) but still cannot get this beast to move. Trailered her up and took it to the local cart shop. Let them wrestle with it, or, hook a handset to it and figure it out.

HD motor brake works correctly but cart will not drive. OEM motor brake works correctly but cart will not drive. Either brake works while in my hands and plugged into the chassis. Gas pedal and brake pedal clear, clean, and appear to return to home positions.

Local shop tore into and got it to run a couple times, but it keeps failing. Their handheld unit will not communicate with the OEM Danaher controller reliably. They recommend replacement of the controller. Their estimate is around $2000, or I could do it myself, which is probably what will happen.

Today’s question: Which controller to purchase???

They quoted us $2000 for that conversion. Not gonna happen unless there are no other options.
