2001 ezgo pds issue. wont go. all new parts

Hello everyone hoping someone could assist me. heres the details I bought this cart not running with no history at all. I replaced the controller as the old one had apparent physical melting and wouldn't beep when put into reverse.

2001 Ez go 36v PDS cart F?R rocker switch on dash

I've replaced with all new batteries, new controller and new solenoid. when cart is shifted into forward or reverse solenoid does not click. when in reverse the buzzer does sound.

Diagnosing the cart I have bench tested the solenoid and it checks out good.

with key on forward selected I have 36 volts at yellow wire on solenoid stud.

Reed swith is showing 36v

Microswitch for ITS is showing 36v and back traced to J4-1 and J4-2 to confirm at controller

ITS is showing .8-.9v with pedal depressed and 2.8V fully pressed.

will all hooked up as it should I applied a jumper sending ground to stud on solenoid with blue wire and solenoid clicks and cart will drive forward and back.

any ideas why controller isn't sending ground from J1-6 which should energize the solenoid? Thinking maybe a Faulty new controller thanks!

If you have replaced with original controller, it has a diagnostic mode that will give you beep codes to help diagnose the problem.

yes I went back with a factory controller. when I do the diag mode it only beeps once after. does nothing else.

I have a similar issue. Solenoid wont trigger. Have + voltage to yellow wire, no ground. I ended up having high voltage at ITS so I ordered a replacement. Will see if that fixes it.

what was your voltage showing?

The range should be 1.0-2.7 on the white wire. Mine was at 11v and never changed with pedal movement.

my voltage is correct for sure but I just checked the ITS and its showing 8.2 Mega ohms unplugged I believe I was told 3-400 is the correct figure looking for?

The input of the ITS sensor is a diode bridge, so your Ohmmeter may not be putting out enough voltage to forward two diodes in series.
