Put #2 cables on everything but the charger ones they don't matter. You can go with a taller gear set if you want or go with bigger tires.

Mine is the series cart with the rod from the f & R. I like the lower tech. Seems easier to upgrade with less things to go wrong. I plan to upgrade the motor and go up to 48 volts as soon as funds allow. What wheels are on the back of yours?

Old pony wheels. I have used VW wheels and Vega wheels. Any 4 bolt 100MM will work though.

These are 17" wheels on my 04 beach cart. Miata wheels.

never thought about Miata/car wheels. How much lift was needed for those?

That is a nice cart. Looks like lots of $$$$ invested.

Yea it's our beach cart. I just installed a solar panel for the 12 volt battery today. I'm always looking for something to do to it. It runs 24 MPH and it rides great. Has a radio and Amp so I can turn it up when I by myself.
It has a PQ motor with a shaved magnet in it on a 300 amp stock controller.

I know it won't apply to me but is PQ for Plum Quick? What does the shaved magnet mean? I understand the basics but am curious about mods. I thought they just rewound them.

PQ is Plum Quick. I do the magnets and I also have a chip harness for all 4 settings in it. PQ does a lot of things that they don't per say advertise. Carson has all kinds of neat stuff for electric carts.

I was trying to decide who would be the best one to send my motor to, PQ or EMP. I have not seen pricing from EMP yet. He wants to know my part numbers to tailor the right setup for my cart.

Thumbs up Re: Not sure what to do with this 04 TXT

I personally am a PQ man. I haven't ever rode on a EMP cart so I can't say anything about them. Either one would be a good choice though!
