2000 e-z-go
I took all the factory F/R stuff out and put a F/R contactor in my 2000.
It works great. I put it all in a tub to keep the dirt out of it and to make it look nicer. Here is the old unit. See how dirty it gets. Here is the new contactor. This was just to see it run before mounting the plastic tub. Put the contactor inside the tub to keep the dirt out. The lid has the flip handle to seal it off. I used a Club Car F/R switch and mounted it over the old F/R handle hole. |

The Tupperware is nice but a club car toggle on an Ezgo is sacrilege

Re: 2000 e-z-go
Is there a wiring diagram for this? Will it work on a large amp system? 700A? and lastly, where would I buy it? Thanks in advance.

Re: 2000 e-z-go
The contactor is good for 100 volts and it operates on 24 volts. Amps shouldn't matter. I had one just like it on the dragster cart I own. 72 volts but I forgot and hooked it to full 72 volts and it fried it.
I hooked the + to the main contactor then grounded it back on the 3 battery to make 24 volts this way it shut's off with the key. If you hook it to straight 24 volts it will stay on as long as the F/R switch is in either direction. |
