Default Old Lester Charger - High Voltage

I have an old Lester Charger 36 volt,Model # 36LC25T12,DC amp 30 max,,works, but when you check output voltage
(not pluged into golf cart) , with MM,it is 66.6 volts,,Help,fixable?

That's correct, with it not pluged up it will read high like that!

my other timer charger puts out about 44 volts,66.6 volts seemed high to me,is there any voltage adjustment,why does this charger have two fuses?

I think the 2 fuses is one for the AC side of the charger and the DC side. Not 100% sure but that's my guess.

You can call Lester Chargers and speak to George. He is I believe the service Manager and know EVERYTHING about those and will be very willing to help.

I tested one of those older chargers too once. I got the same high reading but when it was plugged into a battery pack it worked normally.... I think it needs to be connected and then recheck your findings. Those old chargers were not safe ~ coming on when not plugged in... I imagine you could add a 36v relay in it to modernize it?

Also, if you are interested, George offered to replace mine at half price for a new one for there "loyalty" program. I hope I didn't just get him in trouble... but he gave me a screaming deal on a beautiful new one.
